How a claim goes

From the first call to the last signature, in six steps

Most claims follow this path. Yours may skip a step or take longer on one, and we tell you when it does.

  1. 01

Step 1: You describe the day

A call, a video chat or a visit. We listen, then say whether we can help or who can.

  2. 02

Step 2: We agree how we work together

Our fee is a share of what we recover, in writing before you sign, in the language you read best.

  3. 03

Step 3: We collect the proof

Records, photos, reports and witnesses. You keep going to your appointments.

  4. 04

Step 4: We tell the insurer what the claim is worth

Once treatment shows how things will settle, we send a demand with the records and bills behind it.

  5. 05

Step 5: We bargain, you have the last word

Every offer comes to you with our advice. Nothing settles without your yes.

  6. 06

Step 6: If an offer is not fair, we can file suit

Most claims settle. When one does not, we explain what going to court involves first.

No attorney’s fee unless we recover money for you. Case costs (records, filing fees, experts) are explained in your written agreement, including whether you would owe them if nothing is recovered.

What we ask of you

Four habits that help a claim

The rest is our job.

  • Go to your appointments and follow your treatment plan

  • Tell us about every clinic, therapist and pharmacy you use

  • Keep letters and bills, and forward anything from an insurer

  • Keep your case off social media

The first step costs one call

Tell us what happened. A lawyer reads it and calls you back.
